Eataly NYC: A Must Try For Food Lovers March 27 2013, 0 Comments

This past weekend I had the pleasure of spending time at a place I've been wanting to try for a while now.  Eataly is located in midtown Manhattan and it absolutely has something for everyone.  In 2003, the very first Eataly opened in Turin, Italy and seven years later the first Eataly in the USA opened it's doors in August of 2010.  Whether you're a couple, a family or a group of friends,  you will have a fantastic time sampling, feasting, browsing the market place and learning about quality foods and ingredients.  The on site cooking school classes at La Scuola Di Eataly look amazing for anyone who is passionate about food and wine.  Here are some of the photos I took when I wasn't eating and also a few from their website.

"Good food brings all of us together, and helps us find a common point of view.  We believe that one of the greatest sources of joy is what happens around a dinner table"

-Eataly Manifesto Point 1

The founders and collaborators of Eataly include world renowned chefs and restaurateurs Mario Batali, Lidia Bastianich and her son Joe Bastianich.

The variations of homemade pastas were endless and they looked amazing.  Our next trip to Eataly will be shopping for some fabulous homemade goodies to take home and prepare.

We watched homemade gnocchi being prepared by an expert.

There was a huge selection of organic prime cut meats and homemade sausages.  For those of you who are vegetarians, Eataly has a beautiful vegetarian section where a delicious looking menu is served at a cozy bar.

If you're looking for a delicious aged cheese or a freshly made ball of mozzarella you've come to the right place.

A huge selection of seafood from local fisherman is brought in fresh every day.

Birreria is Eataly's glass enclosed rooftop brewery and restaurant that is open all year round.

You will find every kind of fresh produce you can think of in the market place.

You can dine at one of the many restaurants including Manzo, La Pizza & La Pasta and Rotisserie.

Save room for a cup of delicious coffee, espresso or cappuccino and a taste of homemade chocolates, pastries and gelato.

The market place in Eataly has all kinds of beautiful cookware, gadgets and cookbooks for your kitchen.

There are six class categories at La Scuola di Eataly and they all look delicious.
